We just love all
our fantastic customers who have supported us over these past
five years, so we want to extend an invitation to all to
participate in our new 3rd Thursday program. Every third
Thursday you will receive 20% off any bolt of fabric that you
empty! Great for whenever you need backing fabric or border
fabrics. We will also offer ‘Third Thursday” demos by
arrangement and special savings on a featured product to any of
the local guilds. Plan a field trip, let us know the time and
how many are coming and we will have treat ready for your group.
Remember, we will be open late on Thursdays at our new Burke
location.

Training and Certification
The Artful Quilter Handi-Quilter 16 Rental Program is Here!
HQ 16 Stitch Regulated Training and Certification Class:
Tired of struggling
to complete your quilt tops? Don’t have room for a longarm of
your own? You can now rent one of our HQ Sixteen machines to
complete all those tops in no time at all. In order to
participate, you must complete our basic training and
certification class. A detailed brochure is available on
request. If you decide to purchase a Handi-Quilter from us
within 6 months of training, you will get full credit for the
training and certification and 10% of your rental fees
towards your purchase.

Half and full day
rentals will be by appointment only. We have set aside Tuesday
and Wednesday in our schedule for rentals. Other days and hourly

Fridays are AQ Sew-Ins.
Shop Will Be Open Late. Come Play With Us!
Join us for a fun
evening of socializing and sewing on the 4th Friday of every
month. Get out those UFO’s and head for the finish line. We will
be open late so you can purchase any supplies, batting, border,
and backing fabric that you might need. If you are HQ trained
and certified, you can even rent the machines during the
sew-ins!
You must register
at least two weeks out, so we have a count. As long as we have
at least 10 participants we will keep the program running. Best
of all, the sew-ins are FREE.
No meetings in November or December.

Our fun Sunday Brunch series is geared to the intermediate to
advanced quilter and includes a yummy, light continental brunch.
The projects we choose are inspiring and include some of our
original designs.

Mariner’s Dream:
Say ‘toodles’ to Brunch Bunch until next fall with this original
design! This
fabulous original project will incorporate Mariner’s Compass
blocks into a classic background block. The setting is very
unusual and you won’t be able to resist experimenting with the
possibilities this approach will give you.

Cindy’s New York Beauty Block of The Month Continues

Cindy’s NY
Beauty BOM continues through November 2009. Meets on scheduled
1st Thursday mornings and afternoons and 1st Friday evenings.
The blocks are from Karen Stone’s “Cinco De Mayo” quilt and
constructing it one block at a time makes this rather
intimidating project quite manageable. Each month you will work
on construction and color placement for a new block. Generally
scheduled for the first Thursday and Friday of each month. It’s
‘sew’ much fun!
Note: The April 2nd and 3rd sessions will meet at the scheduled
times in the new Burke location.

Hand Work Clubs
Annabel continues
to host the traditional social hand work “Piecemakers” club and
has added a new “Starmakers” group. Join these special groups of
delightful ladies for a casual morning or afternoon of stitching
and enjoy the timeless art of hand work. Gather with old friends
or come to make new ones. New students are welcome.
