Please Review our Revised Class Policies Below and Observe Class
Etiquette
Classes
must be paid in full when you register. Please arrive promptly for class
with all class supplies and your machine accessories ready to go. You
must own a copy of any copyrighted patterns or books required for the
class. You receive a 10% discount when class supplies are purchased from
us. We do attempt to offer several classes from required books whenever
possible. If your class instructor has asked you to precut, please do
so. This is usually done in order to optimize your class experience and
enable you to accomplish more within the allotted time. Keep in mind
that you are in a classroom environment and respect other students by
coming to class prepared so that the instructor can focus on the entire
class and make it enjoyable for all. Try to keep your work area
organized and the clutter under control particularly when classes are
full. We encourage you to label your supplies clearly with your name and
phone number just in case something gets misplaced. Do not hesitate to
contact the shop or ask your instructor if you have a question or
concern.
Class
Cancellation Policy
Store
credit will be provided on any of our regularly scheduled classes if you
cancel up to two weeks prior to the start of class. You are welcome to
send someone in your place if you find you cannot attend. We
respectfully request that if you must cancel, please notify us ASAP
because instructors are scheduled based on enrollment. Cancellations of
less than two weeks are ineligible for credits. Due to contractual
obligations, no credits are given for visiting instructors’ workshops or
our brunch series classes unless the space can be filled from a wait
list. Classes that involve customized die-cut kits are not eligible for
credit after the fabric is cut.
We regret that we can make no exceptions to these policies
The
Artful Quilter reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum
number of students is not met. Full refunds or store credit will be
given in those cases. In the event of weather related cancellations, the
class will be rescheduled. If Fairfax County Public Schools are closed,
daytime classes are cancelled and will be rescheduled. Evening and
weekend classes will be held unless we notify you otherwise. Always
check the website or call the shop for the most up-to-date information.
Though we love children and welcome them while you are shopping, please
do not bring them to class.
